Walt, PGA Golf Teaching Professional & Golf Instructor
Bio:
Originally from Greenville, TN., Walt grew up playing golf at Link Hills CC where he became an outstanding national junior player. He played collegiate golf at the University of Tennessee where he became team captain and won the prestigious Hilton Head Intercollegiate Championship.
After graduating in 1985 with a B.A. degree in Biology, Walt started his professional career playing in over 20 PGA Tour and Hogan/Nike events. His PGA club work includes Assistant Professional positions at Cherokee CC in Knoxville and Bent Creek Golf Resort in Gatlinburg. He was involved in the construction and development of River Islands Golf Course in 1991 and remained there as Head Golf Professional for 10 years.
Now the Director of Instruction at Fairways and Greens Golf Center in Knoxville, he and his staff conduct over 4000 hours of lessons and clinics every year.
